Hi! I am Gabriela, I specialize in lifestyle portraits, taking a fresh and fun approach to capturing images that reflect your own true personality. Real people in real moments create a true lifestyle portrait. My goal is to capture moments when couples are looking at each other and laughing together, children running around, making funny faces or families sitting quietly seemingly unobserved. I believe memories are made of these little moments of everyday life, and it’s these moments I strive to capture with my photography. I am a real person too… I have the opportunity to live and do what I love in New York City with my husband Max (who makes me laugh every day) and Frida, our lovely little chihuahua. I look forward to working with you in creating your own lifestyle portrait!
Photo Session
Call me or email me to book a photo session. A session usually lasts between 1 and 2 hours depending on many factors, such as location, weather, and your portrait ideas. This takes place on location using natural light. It can take place in your home or outdoor location such as a park, streets in your neighborhood, or a place of significance to you. I can also suggest locations.
The session fee (see rates) is due at the time of the booking. The fee includes the photo session and a personalized proof gallery available online for two weeks. You will receive notice that your proofs are available online within 10 business days of the photo session. You can then select the prints and products you’d like to purchase.
Any additional booked session referred by you entitles you to a free 11×14 unframed print.

Where will my session take place?
All shoots take place on location, using natural light. This can take place at your home or other favorite place. I specialize in casual, unposed shots without backdrops.

How should I prepare for the photo session?
For the best photographs, be relaxed and well-rested. Schedule your shoot at a time that works well for you and/or your family. Enjoy the time together and it will show in your images.
What should I bring to the session?
You don’t need anything but feel free to bring items you cherish or are important to you and/or your children or family.
What should I wear?
Dressing comfortably and simply is best.For a family session, you don’t need to wear the same outfits but try to stay within a coordinated color palette. Be careful when mixing different patterns and colors. You want the focus to be on you. Tip: Stand together in front of a mirror before the shoot to see if you are happy with the overall look.
Can we change the day of our booking?
Yes, you can, subject to availability. Rescheduled appointments at least 36 hours in advance all you to apply your retainer to a new session.
What happens if the weather does not look good or my child wakes up sick the day of our session?
Call me and we can reschedule your session.
When will my proof gallery be available?
Your proof gallery is posted online within 10 business days from your photo session.
Who is allowed to see my pictures online?
You will receive a personal password to share with your friends and family if you desire.
How long do orders take?
You will be notified when your order is ready. Print orders will be filled in approximately 4 weeks. Canvas, custom framing and album purchases will be available 6/8 weeks after your final approval of the design.
Do you travel outside NYC to photograph a session?
Yes, I enjoy destination sessions. Contact me to inquire about additional charges for expenses incurred traveling outside of NYC.
